Professional Bio

I am a Senior Project Manager at Kimley-Horn with more than 21 years of experience in transportation engineering. After a brief push to get a Tollway master plan submittal in, my career moved into the field as a construction inspector. This experience during my first year provided practical insight into how design decisions translate during construction. Following that initial construction season in the field, I spent several years in consulting, where I designed and led roadway projects for IDOT and local agencies, gaining experience with both rural and urban corridors.

Midway through my career, I served as the Design Manager for the McHenry County Division of Transportation. In that role, I oversaw the County's Phase I, Phase II, Traffic Signal and Lighting, Permitting, Land Acquisition, and Planning staff and projects. This oversight included coordinating with stakeholders to address funding cycles, board approvals, and public engagement. This public-sector experience helped me understand agency priorities and the importance of designing projects that integrate seamlessly into established processes. I've continued to reflect on the lessons that I learned on the public side as I returned my career to consulting.

My project experience includes managed and designed numerous projects ranging from residential streets to expressways. This work includes complex realignment and expansion efforts as well as minor add line projects. I have quite a bit of experience doing a little bit of everything, but my primary area of expertise is geometric design, construction staging, Phase I and Phase II project development, and utility coordination.

Pulling all of this experience together, I like to think that I serve a role in delivering quality infrastructure projects and developing future industry leaders.
